Neurogenic bladder in a 3-month-old Domestic European queen. The exaggerated dilation of the bladder was caused, in this case, by a traumatic fracture of the L1 vertebra, with subsequent spinal cord injury and loss of the mictation reflex, which led to the accumulation of a large volume of urine in the bladder. The exaggerated distension of the bladder resulted in compression of the abdominal organs with fatal consequences for function in said organ.
