Haemorrhagic syndrome secondary to hepatic and renal failure (due to embolic-purulent nephritis) in a 5-year-old, mixed breed bitch. The animal exhibited multiple petechiae in the abdominal skin, the subcutaneous and intermuscular tissue as well as in the cardiac wall. Multiple haemorrhagic foci could also be seen in other organs such as the spleen, peri-renal fat, kidneys and right ovarian pedicle.
