Nasal leiomyosarcoma in a mixed breed cat. The face is deformed due to the lesion visible over the right nasal bone, deforming the nasal septum toward the left and corresponding, microscopically, to neoplastic proliferation of spindle-shaped cells originating in smooth muscle, which invade and destroy the bone. This animal exhibited three other neoplastic masses, namely a papilloma of the choroid plexuses, in the cerebellum, a diffuse melanoma of the iris and a cystic adenoma in the liver.
