Congenital diaphragmatic hernia in a cat. Note how most of the intestine, the stomach and part of the liver are now located in the thoracic cavity. The image on the right was taken after the viscera were removed. The diaphragm was placed on a white board, enhancing the fissure that exhibits smooth borders with no signs of fibrosis.
