Liposarcomas in a 3-year-old Saint Bernard. Upon opening the abdominal and thoracic (not shown in the image) cavities, several pediculated masses were found attached to the peritoneum and pleura, with dimensions varying between 5 and 35cm (long axis), adding up to 6Kg of neoplastic tissue. The multilobular, variegated and gelatinous masses correspond to neoplastic proliferations of malignant adipocytes. The primary tumour (in the middle of the image) originated in the retroperitoneal fat and metastasized, among other organs, to the mediastinum.
