Subcutaneous oedema in sheep diagnosed with Blue Tongue Virus infection. Animals infected with this virus frequently exhibit oedema of various organs, such as the skin. Subcutaneous oedema consists in the accumulation of clear or blood-stained fluid in subcutaneous tissue, which appears gelatinous and releases said fluid when cut.
