Flea allergy dermatitis. The posterior skin of the hind limbs and the perianal region show alopecia and lichenification, the latter due to thickening of the epidermis caused by the chronic evolution of the condition. In such cases alopecia is considered to be a secondary lesion caused by the destruction of hair as a result of pruritus.
