Large hematoma in the spleen of an 11-year-old Domestic European queen. The architectural features of the splenic vasculature make this organ particularly prone to developing hematomas that can grow to very large dimensions and be confused in imagiologic studies with certain tumours, namely hemangiosarcomas, the main differential diagnosis for this type of lesion.
