Liver with steatosis exhibiting hypertrophy and pale colouration. The red stripes alternating with pale bands that can be seen on the right lobe, result from the compression exerted by the ribs on the hypertrophied liver. The stripes correspond to the intercostal spaces while the bands correspond to the ribs.
