Intestinal obstruction in a 6-year-old mixed-breed dog. The intestine is distended about 12 cm cranial to the ileocecal transition. The distension was caused by two pieces of garden hose (image on the right) that obstructed the intestinal lumen and caused its contents to accumulate cranially. Intestinal contents were found in the oesophagus.
