Nodular parasitic enteritis. Parasite larvae penetrate the intestinal wall to attempt survival through encystment, in a hibernation process called hypobiosis. Once in the intestinal wall the larvae trigger a granulomatous inflammatory reaction that may or may not succeed in destroying them.
