Squamous cell carcinoma of the tonsil

Metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the tonsil in a 10-year-old Belgian Shepherd. This large cervical mass extended through the cervical soft tissues to the pharynx and to the area where the left tonsil, excised 4 months before, was previously located. On the right, one can see the macroscopic appearance of the mass’s cut surface, which exhibits mucinous-like areas.
