Cryptococcosis of the heart and other organs

Cryptococcosis affecting several organs in a 5-year-old Labrador. Above, on the left, note the small pale nodules corresponding to cryptococcosis granulomas on the cardiac wall; on the right, similar nodules can be seen on both kidneys. Below, on the left, the lingual lesions and, on the right, the invasion of the right retrobulbar tissue by granulomatous inflammation caused by the Cryptococcus. The same image also shows the left eye which was not affected.
